Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers and services from Colearning.

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts between Colearning.org Association ("Colearning") and users of the website as well as members of the community.

2. Community Membership

2.1 Joining

Community membership is established through:

  • Payment of the community contribution via the online registration form, or
  • Use of a valid join code

By completing the registration, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you accept these Terms and Conditions as well as the Privacy Policy.

2.2 Services

Community membership includes:

  • Access to the Colearning Discord server
  • Invitations to community events and meetups
  • Access to exclusive resources and materials
  • Participation in community discussions and projects

Colearning reserves the right to modify, expand, or reduce the scope of services at any time. Members will be informed of significant changes.

2.3 Membership Fees

Membership contributions are set by the member at the time of joining (within the available range). Contributions can be made as one-time payments or recurring subscriptions. Prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF).

2.4 Cancellation

  • Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • One-time payments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
  • Colearning reserves the right to terminate a membership at any time for cause (e.g. violation of community guidelines).

3. Communication

By joining the community, you agree that Colearning may contact you via the email address provided for:

  • Community news, updates, and event invitations
  • Requests for financial or other support and contributions
  • Important information about your membership, services, or policy changes

You may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time by contacting info@colearning.org. Essential membership-related communications cannot be opted out of.

4. Donations and Support

Donations to Colearning are voluntary and non-refundable. Donation receipts are issued upon request. Donations do not confer membership rights unless explicitly stated.

5. Intellectual Property

The content published on colearning.org (particularly the Colearning Framework) is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 unless otherwise noted. See the Legal Disclosure page for details.

6. Conduct and Community Guidelines

Members are expected to behave respectfully and constructively. Colearning reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for violations of community guidelines, harassment, or other inappropriate behaviour – without refund.

7. Liability

Colearning is only liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Colearning does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of its services.

8. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Data is stored on servers located in Europe. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Bern, Switzerland.

10. Amendments

Colearning reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance. Members will be notified of significant changes via email.
